IPL Treatment

Radiofrequency Treatment with InMode Forma I (RF)

RF uses energy to generate controlled heat to revitalize the oil glands along the lid margins to help dry eyes caused by clogged meibomian glands, allowing the glands to open up and release natural oils for improved tear quality and production.

This heat also stimulates collagen production, bringing white blood cells, and stem cells to the skin around your eyes while reducing inflammation. This leads to tightened, smoother, and younger-looking skin.

RF offers several benefits, including:

  • Improved skin texture and tone

  • Reduced appearance of fine lines, wrinkles around eyes

  • Increased collagen production

RF is Gentle, Fast, No Down time, and suitable for all skin type. It is long lasting with natural-looking results.

It feels like a warm massage in the eye areas. Typically, 4 sessions spaced out 2-3 weeks apart are recommended for optimal results. Each session usually takes between 20 to 30 minutes to complete.

IPL

Intense Light Pulse Treatment with InMode Lumecca (IPL)

Intense light pulse (IPL) is a non-surgical treatment using broad-spectrum light to control the inflammatory process and treat many skin conditions. For the eyes alone, IPL treats Ocular Rosacea, Blepharitis, Demodex (mites), Meibomian Gland Dysfunction, and inflammatory dry eyes.

IPL targets brown pigments and vascular lesions, and can effectively treat dry eyes AND treat skin conditions such as:

  • Age spots, sun spots, freckles

  • Rosacea

  • Broken blood vessels

  • Birthmarks

  • Acne scars

  • Uneven skin tone

During treatment ultrasound gel will be applied on your face, and there will be bright flashes of light. Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal after treatment and usually subside a short time afterward. Sunblock will be applied and patients can resume their daily activities directly after IPL treatment.

IPL treatment takes about 10-15 minutes per session. Patients typically notice an improvement in dry eye symptoms after 2 treatments, with optimal results achieved after several sessions.
